OVERVIEW:

The Associate Supply Chain Analyst contributes across all of the team’s needs by focusing on Stamps.com’s merchandise procurement as well as day-to-day coordination of physical operations and fulfillment. The ideal individual will be challenged with their analytical and reasoning skills while collaborating with our multi-warehouse operations.

The position will have exposure to business operations/management through responsibilities of keeping our eCommerce Store running from a logistics standpoint. Beyond the usual day-day responsibilities, you will have a chance to work on projects that span from merchandise development, eCommerce marketing, and logistics optimizations. You will report to the Manager of Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary Objectives:

  1. Inventory Management of physical merchandise procurement.
  2. Coordinate fulfillment Operations for Online Stores.
  3. Analytics and operational improvements

Essential Position Duties:

Inventory Management of physical merchandise procurement.

  • Forecast and maintain inventory levels of 500+ SKUs to ensure items are always in stock.
  • Balance inventory levels between warehouses factoring in pending inventory orders and transportation.
  • Calculate and purchase quantities based on vendor lead times and variable monthly sales volumes.
  • Enter purchase orders, ensure timely processing, and reconcile invoices against receipt while maintaining accurate records.

Coordinate fulfillment Operations for Online Stores.

  • Coordinate with fulfillment vendors to ensure customers’ orders are fulfilled on time and accurately.
  • Maintain relationship with third-party fulfillment centers.
  • Ensure customer orders are shipped in a timely fashion and resolve fulfillment issues when situation warrants.
  • Reconcile monthly activity including vendor purchases, sales fulfillment, product assemblies, and postage usage.
  • Billing to ensure proper billing procedures are followed.
  • Interface with accounting regarding payables and product cost.

Analytics and operational improvements.

  • Create ad hoc reports to examine sales, fulfillment operations, merchandising, and other production activity to advise on planning and process improvements in these areas.
  • Projects will be assigned based on both need and individual interest.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience:                                                            

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Economics, or equivalent field or equivalent years’ experience.
  • Purchasing and analytics experience preferred.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Intermediate to expert MS Excel abilities, including writing formulas and manipulating queries.
  • Strong logic/math skills and instincts--able to analyze and deNontermine root discrepancy between procurement request, manufacturing, and actual receipt.
  • Able to focus on detailed assignments while understanding the broader impact—analysis for procurement while not making a unit of magnitude mistake.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision (remote and onsite); self-motivation a must
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational and informational gathering skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate well with different types of audiences including suppliers, manufacturers, 3PLs, and peers.

Computer/Software/Application Proficiency:                                               

  • Windows 7/10
  • Office Suite 2010/2013/ 2016 (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • PC Desktops/Laptops

Travel Requirements:

  • Less than 10%; generally, once to twice per year (in a post-COVID environment)
