POSITION SUMMARY
You will collect, study, and analyze business data to derive insights and distribute valuable information to the business at scale. We’re looking for hands-on, highly analytical candidates who can solve for challenging business opportunities using powerful data-driven techniques.
THE ANALYST, ANALYTICS HAS FIVE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Analysis: Provide data-driven strategic recommendations to the business
- Reporting: Develop and maintain automated reports distributed to business stakeholders
- Dashboards: Develop and maintain dashboards in Tableau to enable self-serve capabilities
- Data Analytics: Collect, monitor and derive insights from various sources of raw data to improve business performance using SQL, Tableau, and Excel. Experience with other data tools like Mode, Python or R is a plus.
- Testing and Optimization: Provide read outs and recommendations on sale conversion and customer engagement tests to optimize for key business outcomes utilizing statistical methods to validate results
SOME YEAR 1 DELIVERABLES
- Provide recurring analysis and data-driven recommendations to the sales, product, and marketing teams on improving customer experiences across the customer lifecycle
- Develop Tableau dashboards on the overall customer and product experience, with a focus on driving towards product engagement, customer tenure, and LTV goals
- Define and document business KPIs for use across all departments
- Establish and maintain single source of truth data sets on product and customer engagement
- Provide timely business data support across all areas of the business

- Delivery of new reports, dashboards and analysis
- Exhibit mastery of data sources and structure
- Throughput of business requests

EXPERIENCE
- Must Have
- 1+ years of work experience in Marketing Analytics, Finance, or advanced Analytics role
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Marketing, Accounting or Quantitative/Technical major
- Hands-on work experience with Analysis and Reporting tools: Tableau, SQL, Excel, Mode, Domo, Cognos, and similar
- You should have excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate conclusions both verbally and in writing.
- Must be detail-oriented with excellent follow-through abilities.
- Ability to work effectively across teams to provide analytical solutions
- Team oriented with a high level of intellectual curiosity
- Nice to Have
- Experience at a Direct to Consumer (DTC) company. Continuity, Club Membership, and/or Subscription experience
- Experience in price testing, UX testing, and conversion optimization
- Practical experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture or Data Science
- Master’s Degree in a related major
- Industry experience in energy, energy management, smart home, mobile app or other IoT device engagement
- Work experience in Python, R or other statistical tools
- Strong project management skills
