Chef’d is looking for a Data Scientist to join the growing data team at our Chef'd HQ in El Segundo. The Data Scientist will help build innovative solutions for e-commerce personalization including our next generation recommendation engine. This role will partner with our analytics team to power decisions, inform strategy, and identify opportunities across the company. As a Data Scientist, you will utilize the latest in machine learning capabilities to give Chef’d an edge as we quickly grow and expand into new markets.
Responsibilities:
- Build next generation data solutions for Chef’d.
- Work with our team to test and optimize our recommendation engine.
- Research new ideas provided by the team in both the US and Hyderabad to decide on viability of new projects.
- Innovate to improve our personalization solutions.
- Work with our architect to design live personalization platforms.
- Work with department heads to solve complex data problems.
- Utilize Google Cloud Platform to provide live insights with our analytics team.
Requirements:
- M.S. in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or related field.
- 6+ years of experience applying data science to real business problems.
- Strong understanding of statistics, machine learning and predictive modeling.
- Strong Python programming skills.
- Experience with scikit, numpy and scipy.
- Data concepts (streaming, data modeling, data structures) a plus.
- Experience with Tensor Flow a plus.
- Big data experience is a big plus (Hadoop, Redis, Mongo, etc).
- Self-starter who is excited about learning new technologies.
