Ring is currently seeking a Web & eCommerce Copywriter to join our Santa Monica, CA office. You will write compelling stories in the form of copy, headlines, taglines and calls to action. As a brand stewards you will channel your inner journalist to capture hearts, and novelists to engage their imagination. Our writers create content, position our products and make sure our voice is consistent.

Responsibilities

• Plan, draft and produce superior copy that tells stories, communicates value and presents information in helpful, fun and engaging ways. This is not about writing blurbs.
• Works with team members to apply a high level of detail when writing for the Ring brand and ecosystem of products, taking into consideration existing brand guidelines.
• Use a holistic understanding of the competitive landscape of marketing, communications and branding.
• Demonstrates the ability to support other writers, designers, developers and managers working on multiple projects and takes a positive can-do approach to every challenge.
• Self-sufficient and able to work proactively and independently if required.
• Actively advocates for the clear and consistent application of the brand voice and provides a significant contribution to the development of products as a champion of Ring as a brand.

Skills and Qualifications

• 4+ year(s) of experience in a startup, creative agency or similar environment (digital agency is a plus) in advertising, journalism or marketing role
• Deep understanding of SEO strategies, research and content creation
• A portfolio that showcases a wide variety of work (Global Brands a plus) with engaging copy
• Has a sense of humor (or employs devices to create it)
• Has a deep interest in marketing, emerging technologies, and startups
• Experience working in Web & eCommerce
• Fluent in 2 languages a plus
