THE ROLE
The Video Editor develops, edits, and delivers best-in-class brand and mission-focused video across all consumer touchpoints. In this role, you’ll leverage a passion for thoughtful sourcing stories, engaging lifestyle content, and brand-response marketing to help elevate the Thrive Market brand and build awareness across digital, social, OTT, TV and more. You’ll work closely with the Brand, Mission, Merchandising, and Content teams, as well as key stakeholders across the company.
The ideal candidate is technically savvy while possessing a strong creative eye for storytelling through visuals. Requirements include a passion for telling great stories; a deep interest in healthy living; and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a high bar for excellence.
This role will report to the Senior Video Producer.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Edit multimedia content, promotions, original productions, and special projects for on-site, social, digital marketing, OTT, TV, integrating video, art, text, and sound
- Be a key player throughout the production process, including following marketing briefs, researching, pitching, and editing, as well as supervising post-production and final QC
- Offer a range of ideas / concepts during the development stage; confidently pitch and present ideas to broader teams and stakeholders
- Coordinate and collaborate with leadership, peers, and support staff through every stage of production
- Makes creative decisions for assigned content, with input from key stakeholders
- In partnership with Brand, determine and maintain the creative storytelling of content, ensuring alignment with brand visionIn partnership with Content, develop and execute scripted video content for editorial and social
- Work with Producer, Video to support process, including reviews and approvals across departments, edits, and delivery of final files
- Obsessively consider timelines and meet deadlines to achieve business objectives
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of progressively complex editing experience in the linear television, digital video, or OTT content space, or on an in-house video team with a focus on brand and/or content marketing
- Strong portfolio showing a variety of marketing executions, with an emphasis on storytelling
- Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, with special emphasis in Premiere
- Proficiency in Da Vinci
- Bachelor’s Degree (or similar work experience) with emphasis in Digital Media and/or Television Production required
- A strong understanding of best practice post-production workflow
- A keen eye for image composition and color
- Experience in audio mixing and a strong sense for music integration
- Solid understanding of digital content management systems and digital workflows, including content ingestion and scheduling
- Superior time management skills in a time-sensitive environment
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities as a team player and on an individual basis
- Willingness to jump into other aspect of production when required
- Strong creative decision-making skills
