We are seeking a Studio and Experiential Photographer to join our Creative Team. In this role you will primarily be asked to shoot still and on-figure product photography in studio. Images must meet the needs of new product launches, e-commerce updates and additions, and marketing initiatives. This role will work closely with the a variety of Creative team members to ensure client goals are met with creativity, innovation and efficiency. This role will oversee the undertaking of our first photography studio.

You must be dynamic and adaptable. The ideal candidate understands the need for collaboration and communication across studio teams, working together toward our individual and collective goals. The candidate has experience in a high volume commercial studio setting, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and firmly believes in continuous improvement. The photographer is responsible for balancing quality and productivity when photographing product on both still and live model sets, working cross functionally with the styling and logistics teams, and identifying ways to improve and driving those improvements.

This photographer in this role should also have experience shooting live events (think large corporate meetings) and ideally has some experience shooting video in both the studio and at events.

Responsibilities:

• Photograph lightbox/seamless product imagery in studio monthly for new product launches.
• Shoot on-figure photography as needed.
• Understand the importance of creating consistent visual styles for different types of clients.
• Name, process and upload images onto server in proper folder structure.
• Oversee maintenance of in-house studio and equipment needs.
• Communicate with teams regarding shoot production and post production organization.

Skills:

• 3+ years experience with product photography – experiential / event shooting is a plus.
• Casting experience and location selection are huge experience pluses for this role
• Strong understanding of cameras, lenses, lighting equipment, and specialist software
• Must be a self-starter, comfortable working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
• Extremely organized.
• Able to quickly prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a daily scheduled workflow.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate.
• Ability to lightly retouch files when needed – experience with retouching is a plus.
• Reports to office headquarters in Santa Monica, CA.
