Social Media Specialist

We’re looking for a social trends, savvy wordsmith who’s passionate about health and wellness to join Thrive Market’s Content team. The Social Media Specialist will work closely with the Content, Creative, Member Services, Video, Merchandise, Photography, Business Development, and Marketing teams to help promote Thrive Market brands, services, products, and initiatives across all of our social media channels. Candidates should have a passion for health, wellness, nutrition, food, all things social media, and experience writing clean copy quickly, and with a strong voice.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow Thrive Market’s social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest
- Post engaging content that adheres to Thrive Market’s editorial voice guidelines, aimed at driving followers and members
- Partner with the Design, Photo, and Video teams to create visually compelling social content
- Provide Marketing, Content, Merchandise, and Video teams with weekly and monthly analytics, including revenue, e-commerce conversion, visits, reach, and engagement, and share insights internally on an ongoing basis
- Serve as a brand ambassador at events and conferences as necessary and engage with social partners offline to promote Thrive Market
- Work closely with Business Development and Merchandise teams to maximize brand and partner relationships and campaigns across all social platforms
- Create individual engagement strategies for high-level influencers and brands. Develop targeted plans to promote health and wellness experts on social channels
- Work with the Merchandise team to create fun, engaging content to introduce members to new products and best-sellers in a way that aligns with our voice and adheres to our brand guidelines
- Work closely with the Member Services team to develop a plan and voice for real-time interactions and target problem-solving via social channels
- Manage content syndication partnerships with leading editorial sites:
- Pitch content and related links
- Implement tracking URLs on images and product links
- Work with Content and Business Development teams to create and grow new syndication relationships
- Track performance and share insights internally
- Stay current with industry and social trends. Make recommendations to ensure that Thrive Market’s feeds stay fresh and relevant in a fast-changing, competitive landscape.
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience managing and creating engaging content for social feeds in a professional capacity
- In-depth knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest
- Outstanding writing skills with the ability to pen clever, engaging, clean copy in a strong voice
- Proficient in social media content management and scheduling platforms (experience with Spredfast is a plus)
- Solid understanding of social media KPIs
- Superior organization and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable creating presentations and presenting them to colleagues and executives
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally
- Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to develop data-driven strategies
- Bachelor’s degree required
