Job Description:
We are looking for a talented, well-rounded candidate to lead the sourcing and creation of content for the 15SOF’s social channels. The Director, Social Media will own the voice of 15SOF’s brand on social by delivering engaging content that highlights the unique nature of the fan experience through live events. This role is vital to the development process, which includes working with various internal departments to package and deliver content daily.
Responsibilities:
Develop social media strategy across all channels that encourage increased engagement, new followers, and organic & paid app downloads
Create and curate trending content for all 15SOF channels, including copy and creative assets, to engage our audience and further establish 15SOF as the destination for fan-based content
Recruit and manage a field team to source content from a variety of events leveraging our official partner feeds
Daily community management and execution of social media strategy across all platforms with emphasis on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Develop and manage relationships with influencers/bloggers through content and distribution partnerships
Monitor social media activity with analytical and listening tools to increases effectiveness, engagement and performance
Keep abreast of the rapidly changing social landscape and provide recommendations to senior management accordingly
Desired Skills and Experience:
5+ years experience in social media management or content marketing preferably in Sports or Sports Marketing
Experience with college marketing and/or field teams preferred
Familiarity with Meme accounts, digital influencers, and Sports publishers
Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple event streams
Proficiency with creative tools including editing software, After Effects, and Photoshop
Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, creatively demanding work environment
Working understanding of social media analytics and insights tools
BA, Marketing, English, or Communications degree preferred
Flexibility to work nights, weekends and some holidays (i.e. game time)
