Job Summary

TeleSign is seeking a “Senior Technical Writer” to join our team.  As a Senior Technical Writer, you will be an integral part of our mission to deliver an industry-leading onboarding and integration experience for our customer’s technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of technical documentation for TeleSign SDKs and APIs.
  • Selection and management of technical documentation tools, applications, and analytics.
  • Collaboration with UI/UX to ensure thoughtful design, layout, navigation, and content flow for technical documentation.
  • Creation and management of the technical documentation process, including: requirements gathering, content creation, review and approvals, production preparation and release management.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders from Product Management, Engineering, Support and Customer Success to gather information and artifacts necessary to deliver clear and useful technical documentation.
  • Implement processes to monitor and gauge technical documentation effectiveness for continuous improvement.

Essential Technical Skills

 

  • Ability to understand code, platforms, code samples, and software development terminology
  • Ability to understand developer needs and business cases, get feedback, target both expert and novice audiences, and understand development patterns that programmers follow
  • Ability to break down and explain complex concepts through a variety of technical artifacts, including: workflows, quick-start guides, how-to guides, etc.
  • Ability to create intuitive, world-class website technical documentation content and content flow for mobile and web developers
  • Ability to administer and manage technical documentation tools and processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in English, Technical Writing, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Software Technical Writing experience for REST/SOAP APIs and native mobile SDKs (Android, iOS)
  • Familiarity with various programming languages including Java, C#, PHP, and Python
  • Familiarity with Swagger specifications
  • Familiarity using Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Snagit, and Visio
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum
  • Familiarity in technical blogging and video content creation a plus

Their plan touches every part of the company, from auditing their recruitment and engagement processes to the founding of ERGs. They’ve even spearheaded the formation of a global culture and inclusion work group with a direct line to leadership.

Cloud implementation requires thoughtful work and creativity to rebuild the solutions on a new framework and develop new deployment processes, but the product team is more than up to the task.
