If you love digging into a new brand and creating a visual language, we'd love to talk to you! Copywriters are integral to the creative process and play pivotal roles in the strategy, conception and influence the final design that gets implemented. Copywriters would have experience connecting customers and brands through storytelling, intuitive interfaces and transformative brand experiences are preferred.

As a copywriter, you will collaborate with the creative team and media buying team to help create and define the brand messaging based on the existing tone of voice. The copywriter will be responsible for helping to rewrite existing copy from clients, work with designers to structure and implement copy to the targeted demographic and proper storyline, as well as advise on any messaging changes required for proper conversion. The copywriter may also be responsible for initial message structure and creating voice of tone pillars for branding engagements. 

This is role is specifically focused on creative and media buying copy. E-commerce experience is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop unique conceptual ideas and communicate these through creative writing skills
  • Define/maintain the voice of various brands through consistent and creative writing
  • Understanding the message the client is seeking to express and translating this into written content
  • Partner with Creative team to develop creative copy to speak to visual assets showcased in marketing collateral, websites, mass emails, etc.
  • Ensure that all written product content is accurate and consistent, and incorporate revisions according to current routing procedures
  • Responsible for researching, sourcing, and annotating projects
  • Maintain schedules and budgets efficiently to ensure on-time completion of all jobs within budget constraints.
  • Contribute to new business activities
  • Maintain important trends in advertising and disseminates pertinent information to team and extended creative staff

Skills & Experience:

  • Degree in English, Communication or Journalism preferred
  • Agency experience preferred specifically with ecommerce clients
  • The ability to write and think creatively
  • Significant experience in writing strong, succinct copy that is grammatically correct
  • A flexible approach and willingness to adapt ideas to the needs of clients
  • The ability to work to strict deadlines without compromising on work quality
  • Demonstrated knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation and standard writing styles
  • Intermediate knowledge of standard proofreading marks
  • Ability to work independently on projects with minimal supervision
  • Deadline-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail
  • Self-starter with excellent verbal, written and analytical skills
