As a result of a strategic merger, the newly-integrated GoGuardian marketing team is seeking an Instructional Designer to support the creation of educator resources, templates, and ready-to-teach materials. 

As an Instructional Designer, you’ll be responsible for the creation and maintenance of flexible templates and ready-to-teach, instructionally-effective content for K-12 classrooms. We’re looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented, collaborative, and agile person who is passionate about education and improving learning experiences. 

What You'll Do

• Become an expert in product knowledge and best practices to develop strategies to drive and measure stakeholder success 
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders and leverage existing materials to develop, update, and test new content
• Understand pedagogical principles and ensure alignment with brand values (Pear Deck & GoGuardian)
• Apply tested instructional design theories, practices and methods to design instructionally-effective, scalable, and engaging templates and lessons for K-12 classrooms

Who You Are

• Prior experience with Instructional Design 
• Prior teaching experience (K-12 preferred)
• Comfortable using Pear Deck (for Google Slides, PowerPoint, or both)
• Adept at project management and cross-functional collaboration
• Self-starter who is consistently driven to find new solutions and optimize processes
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment; adaptable to shift priorities quickly
• Familiarity with graphic design principles and basic knowledge of tools (Adobe Creative Suite)
• High level of comfort with Google Slides and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with digital communication tools (i.e. Slack) and remote work
• Excellent written communication skills & eye for detail
