Film & TV Coordinator

How we LEAD:
The Universal Music Publishing Film & TV licensing team is looking for a detail-oriented, efficient individual for Film & TV Coordinator to work within our fast-paced synchronization clearance department. The right candidate prior experience and knowledge of music clearance & licensing. Great communication skills are crucial, as well as the ability to work mindfully within a team-driven atmosphere. A strong passion for music is a must!
How you'll CREATE:
- Negotiate terms and fees for UMPG controlled songs for use in various audiovisual media
- Develop and maintain relationships with songwriters, music licensing staff at film studios and television production companies, music licensing agents, managers and attorneys.
- Coordinate license payment tracking
- Detailed review of negotiated rights entered into UMPG's proprietary licensing system
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Bring your VIBE:
- At least 2 years of experience in the music licensing field
- Prior synch negotiating experience
- Established relationships within the licensing community including record labels, music publishers, managers and music clearance companies
- Knowledge of music industry and music clearance/licensing procedures
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Resolution-oriented with the ability to think and act independently.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure/deadlines
- Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently under general direction
- Interest or knowledge of Live Stage & Digital music licensing preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, iTunes, Adobe and social media platforms
