Girlboss is expanding its audio business and looking for an Executive Producer to oversee audio programming -- with a proven track record of creating and overseeing a compelling podcast and audio slate in multiple genres. The Executive Producer will work to identify and create best-in-class audio content.

What you'll do:

• Oversee a portfolio of podcasts across Girlboss and develop a slate of programming that is compelling, thoughtful and thought-provoking
• Curate premium slate of narrative and non-narrative podcasts
• Develop and implement programming strategies, concepts and formats, roadmap, and creative direction
• Build a team to produce and support podcasts
• Define the pitch process, and conceptualize, review, and greenlight show pitches
• Cultivate internal and external talent and creators to help build the voice of Gilrboss in the audio space
• Lead internal production team to produce quality programming
• Work closely with the host and the editorial team on the editorial agenda, edit stories and segments, and oversee content direction and quality
• Work closely with cross-functional teams across editorial, business, sales, marketing, and operations to drive the business forward
• Work closely to ensure synergistic content development, collaboration, and extension of IP across multiple mediums
• Motivate, lead, and establish best practices and audio training for editorial staff
• Work with business teams to establish and meet goals and KPIs for success
• Manage budgets and ensure efficient use of resources

What you'll bring:

• Strong leadership experience, with experience in managing a production team and a range of podcasts
• Experience as a showrunner or creative lead for successful audio programs
• A portfolio that demonstrates an ear for great storytelling and tape, inventive approaches to audio production, and a track record for developing successful content
• Strong editorial judgment and intuition on the voices, stories, and angles that will make the podcast compelling
• Entrepreneurial attitude and willingness to build something from the ground up
• Experience coaching and developing host talent
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
• A passion for podcasting, and an understanding of Girlboss and ideas on how to leverage the brand to continue to push it into the world of audio
• Big thinker with ideas and creativity to extend and leverage podcast content to other mediums (e.g., video)
• An ability to balance creative thinking with business and monetization needs

Education and experience:

• A minimum of 6 to 8+ years experience in content development and production for podcasts, radio, or audio content, with at least 2+ years of experience as an executive producer or showrunner
• Experience overseeing a portfolio of podcasts is preferred
• Experience working collaboratively with creative and editorial team, and managing a production team
• Understanding of multiple podcast styles such as documentary, interview, narrative, and conversational
• Bachelors degree in communications, journalism or related area (preferred)
