Director, Workforce Education Programs

This role reports to the VP Education Partner Development.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the VP to establish partnerships with high-quality universities and skills providers with employer-relevant programs and shared commitment to learner access and success for a highly curated network
- Support the prospecting of education relationships
- Develop relationships and interact with executive management teams of education institutions and providers and business development leaders and corporate decision makers
- Support VP in the construction of new partner deals to configure win-win-win partnerships, partnering closely with Finance team on modeling and growth projections
- Serve as an education SME in corporate pitches with CHROs, heads of L&D
- Partner closely with Director of Programs & Pathways on dynamically evolving labor markets, employer and employee needs, and available educational offerings and pathways
- Provide in-house consulting expertise for InStride’s sales, strategy, operations, and thought leadership
Ideal Profile:
- 10+ years relationship development and management expertise with higher education
- Deep familiarity with the workforce education, community colleges and alternative education programs
- Experience in enrollment management, consulting or sales & marketing or business development, with a strong preference for higher education expertise
- Ability to both conduct detailed analysis and develop senior-level strategy presentations and executive presence
- Excited by the challenge of building a world-class business that delivers not only high revenue growth and compelling return on investment, but also has a meaningful impact on society
- Exposure to the functioning of higher education institutions through direct experience or deep affiliation with the education industry
- Ability to facilitate and enable people to collaborate with each other; and promote collaboration with partners e.g. with Universities, corporate clients and the team
- High EQ, comfort with ambiguity and a “no job too small” startup mentality
