Job Summary:
The Curriculum Developer utilizes adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to create impactful, interactive courseware and supplemental content for internal customers through various channels.
Job Expectations:
- Design and develop high-quality learning content, based on a combination of needs analysis and project requirements, for both technical and skills-based learning programs.
- Draft, design, storyboard, script, and develop educational video content and interactive elearning courseware.
- Design and develop videos, guides, tutorials, job aids, assessments and other learning materials to facilitate understanding and retention.
- Utilize creative, interactive media to enhance knowledge adoption.
- Explain technical concepts and procedures in simple language for both non-technical and technical audiences.
- Multitask and manage multiple projects while meeting delivery schedule deadlines.
- Support administration and maintenance of LMS courseware and related content
- Provide constructive and targeted feedback of course materials to team members in a professional manner
- Observe and evaluate the results of training programs
- Determine the overall effectiveness of programs and make improvements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Quick learner; ability and willingness to accept new and different ways of doing things and to accept coaching from manager and other leadership resources
- Adaptive, flexible, creative and innovative, with the ability to manage responsibilities and priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environment
- Excellent written/verbal presentation skills
- Clear and concise writing skills with extensive knowledge of proper word usage/grammar; superior attention to detail and focus on quality
- Understanding of graphic design, elearning principles, voice-over and video production
- Ability to simply and effectively communicate complex concepts and material
- Ability to interact effectively and develop working relationships with all departments and employee levels
- Strong organization, project management, planning, problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills
- Experience working within Learning Management Systems (Workday Learning experience a plus)
- Working knowledge of Articulate 360 suite, Adobe Captivate, or other similar software
Experience and Education:
- Requires a minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT training curriculum development.
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Design, or a related field
