About the Copywriter (Health) at Headspace:

Headspace is looking for a Copywriter for Headspace Health, a digital therapeutic subsidiary company that aims to develop digital therapeutic products to help mitigate and treat chronic health conditions. 

As part of the Headspace Health team, your superior writing skills will be an integral part of building a new service from the ground up that could exist across mobile, web, and emerging platforms. From branding to UI to content strategy, you’ll be concepting ideas and crafting copy in all stages of product development, and all in the Headspace voice: Mindful, personable, and simple.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for the ever-expanding health and wellness industry, feel comfortable concepting projects big and small, and knows how to write like a human being. You should be comfortable and confident in your writing, enjoy the collaboration process, have a great mix of judgment, creative thinking, flexibility, a learning-mindset, and be passionate about our mission to improve the health and happiness of the world. 

How your skills and passion will come to life at Headspace:

  • Collaborate with behavioral scientists, product managers, and external subject matter experts to develop a compelling health curriculum
  • Develop in-app and other patient-facing digital copy to support on-going lifestyle management for people living with chronic health conditions 
  • Create health coaching macros in collaboration with subject matter experts
  • Develop external marketing materials for clinicians to drive referrals to Headspace Health 
  • Collaborate with video producers and the brand team to develop compelling digital assets while maintaining the Headspace tone of voice
  • Draw on your content strategy and copywriting experience to determine the right message to craft- and the right way to deliver that message- for each project 
  • Own, monitor, and manage all copy parameters for Headspace Health with an emphasis on keeping up to speed with legal and brand requirements

What you’ve accomplished:

  • 3-5 years of professional writing experience at an ad agency, product, and/or content company
  • Proven experience writing marketing and/or content copy for a health and wellness brand
  • Knowledge of the health and wellness space
  • Experience writing UX copy in a digital or app environment
  • Experience with branding, preferably with a health and wellness company
  • Proven success working collaboratively
  • Proven success integrating feedback and tracking multiple deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, switching back and forth seamlessly
  • Effective communication skills when working with other disciplines to ensure a message is on-brand
  • An appreciation for Headspace and mindfulness is a definite plus
  • Journalism or English degree preferred

We're located in the heart of Santa Monica on Michigan + Cloverfield, just off the 10 freeway. Bergamont train station is right behind our office.
