UMG is looking for a dynamic team member to provide administrative, marketing and operational support to the Commercial, Content and Artist Strategy Senior Executive and team. The ideal candidate has a passion for music, ability to thrive in a high-demand, performance-driven environment, the ability to keep calm under pressure while being process-oriented and intellectually curious.

The successful applicant will support the team in driving revenue, content and strategy across all label properties. This role will require someone who is able to quickly learn and speak the language of our various imprints, but also who is a native user of all the leading and emerging digital/social platforms. We expect this position to go above and beyond normal executive support and help with doing research, analyzing data, manage and support ongoing projects.

Job Functions:

  • Extensive travel and meeting coordination
  • Calendar management and covering phone lines
  • Creates agendas for external client meetings
  • Meeting of guests and help with general queries
  • Monthly Expensys reconciliation and processing
  • Regular meeting prep and coordination including food ordering, document prep and organization as directed, occasional meeting coverage and note taking
  • Special project coordination requiring follow up and meeting of deadlines
  • Develop and execute content calendar for label social properties
  • Support in building innovative campaigns to further our labels' data capture, sales and advertising goals, and react to analytics in order to improve the success of these campaigns
  • Participate in idea sessions across all commerce platforms
  • Monitor all streaming marketing platforms
  • Conduct business and market research
  • Act as liaison between executive and a wide array of internal and external contacts
  • Communicate to executive and label staff daily numbers across all projects
  • Run reports using internal reporting tools for artist and managers
  • Work closely with senior analyst on forecasts, projections and catalog performance
  • Update weekly and daily reports with streaming, sales and playlist information for platforms
  • Create presentation and one-sheets for clients and artists
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • Job Requirements:

    Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to interact comfortably and effectively with employees of the company at all levels including Executive Management
  • Ability to interact comfortably and effectively with external partners and clients
  • Possess strong attention to detail, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and KeyNote required
  • Proactive in determining roadblocks
  • Ability to work under high pressure and speed
  • Great social and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to keep information highly confidential
  • Flexible and able to multi-task
  • Expert, native user of social media platforms
  • Navigate various digital platforms

  • Interest & excitement in a broad array of genres of music and technology
  • Inherent desire to stay current on developments in digital technology
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Ability to partner and collaborate with a diverse range of interests and perspectives
  • Strong interest in the digital music market
  • Must have initiative and desire to learn the business
  • Basic HTML knowledge preferred
  • Intermediate user of image editing & design software (e.g. Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Quick learner who is able and excited to jump into and master new platforms, apps and services
  • Experience:

  • Minimum 3+ years of related experience in a music entertainment environment
  • Demonstrated ability to develop content for online use
  • Experience writing copy and creation of photo/video content
  • Education:

    • Bachelor's degree preferred
