At GOAT Group, our Brand team tells stories – from who we are to what we stand for. With a blend of skill, drive and creative imagination, our Brand team delivers on these stories through visual design, content and production. As the company continues to expand rapidly, your work will play an important role in further developing our brand point of view and forging stronger relationships with our community.

We are looking for an experienced and highly detail-oriented Content Manager who can bring ideas to life and create engaging digital content for our passionate global community. This individual will focus primarily on producing a monthly cadence of digital editorials for GOAT.com and in-app. He or she will consistently pitch, plan and produce high-quality digital editorials and will work closely with the Sr. Content Manager to support our ongoing editorial content initiatives at GOAT.

The ideal candidate is well-versed in the editorial landscape and is hands-on with sourcing potential stories, has an extensive creative contributor and talent lead database, is knowledgeable of negotiating rates and liaising with contributors for licensing/usage contracts, and has a prolific understanding of the editorial process from start to finish (research development, creating conceptual decks, talent/creative team outreach, on-site shoot production, post-production, copy editing, etc).

Above all, we are looking for a highly-motivated and self-directed cultural enthusiast looking to help drive our existing narrative across a variety of channels. Your objective is to create meaningful content that builds brand awareness and increases market share through compelling storytelling.

In this role you will:

  • Have a keen eye for uncovering emerging talent across all industries in art, music, fashion, sports, design, digital media, etc.
  • Consistently pitch, plan and produce high-quality digital editorials in various formats (Q+A interviews, listicles, think pieces, feature profiles with incorporated quotes) as well as impact our socials to expand and amplify our editorial efforts.
  • Manage and maintain a content calendar that integrates cultural events throughout the calendar year on a global scale, new product initiatives and offerings as well as key sneaker releases
  • Own the ability to research, write and edit–and give a singular concept the necessary development needed (through ideation, planning stages, storyboarding, rounds of revision, and so forth) for full content execution
  • Ensure that all editorial content is being integrated across multiple channels including homepage, collections, email, press, and other consumer touchpoints
  • Recruit and manage a team of freelance content producers as well as self-produce content
  • Work with marketing analytics team using SEO tools to monitor, analyze and optimize website activity, traffic trends, SERP rankings and customer acquisition metrics, through monthly and ad-hoc reports
  • Work cross-functionally with teams from Business Development to Merchandising and Growth to help support their business initiatives with high-quality, on-brand content pieces

We are looking for:

  • 4+ years relevant experience in journalism and/or content strategy, content management, and content creation with a supporting portfolio of digital content and/or list of published editorials
  • Journalistic mindset and passion for uncovering and bringing to life authentic stories that can move and inspire through multimedia storytelling
  • Deep connections to the editorial community with a proven track record in sourcing and managing freelance talent
  • Excellent project management skills, including experience with content management systems and digital campaign integration
  • Tenacity for trying new types of storytelling and taking creative risks
  • Hunger for discovering emerging stories, whether they be sneakers, fashion or culture
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom), and Microsoft Office
