Ring is looking for a highly organized, creative and communicative Content Library Producer for the Marketing team to lead our acquisition efforts of user-generated content (UGC). The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying content that is aligned with Ring’s marketing and branding objectives, communicating directly with Ring neighbors (customers) to gather additional information and to secure legal clearance from them, as well as managing our digital content library. This role will support content needs of multiple creative teams, communication channels, and product lines. Candidates who are exceptionally thorough, meticulous, tactful and who have a strong sense of what makes a great story will excel in this unique role that consists of 70% of asset management and customer communication functions, and 30% creative tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Review on a daily basis large volumes of UGC submissions, maximize content discovery.
  • Identify great stories and narrative themes that fit into Ring’s marketing and branding strategy, and that support Ring’s mission of making neighborhoods safer.
  • Reach out to the Ring neighbors (customers) by email or phone to get additional information about the story and to get the necessary legal permissions. Keep track of responses, follow up and file them in the database.
  • Diligently upload and manage content on the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.
  • Maximize content searchability on the DAM by enhancing assets with rich and descriptive metadata.
  • Fulfill asset requests from the creative and production teams by sourcing relevant video content and narratives to drive the brand story across multiple channels and campaigns.
  • Effectively and consistently communicate the best relevant newly discovered content to the marketing channel owners.
  • Perform other ad-hoc tasks in relation to the sourcing, development, and production of narrative-driven content.
  • Work with internal legal counsel on matters of releases and licensing.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, media studies, film/TV production or library and information science.
  • 5+ years of experience working in creative video production environment with substantial media management responsibilities.
  • 3+ years of experience using DAM system.
  • 3+ years of experience doing direct outreach on regular basis to customers or
  • 3+ years of experience of booking characters for documentary, true crime, reality or other types of unscripted programming.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Highly organized, thorough, meticulous, detail oriented, patient.
  • Confident, polite, courteous and upbeat written and verbal communicator.
  • Comfortable tackling a large volume of small tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Experience with video and multimedia storytelling, familiarity with various digital video and multimedia genres and platforms. Strong sense of what makes a great story.
  • Proficiency with Mac OS and Google Docs and Sheets.
  • Working knowledge of DAM systems, data entry, cataloguing and best practices.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Suite applications.
