TechSesh is looking for a Content Coordinator to support in the creation of content and other branding materials to support our overall goals. From concept through execution, this candidate will help bring the brand to life while keeping it consistent across all various touchpoints.

You will be responsible for creating, improving and maintaining content to be top of mind and provide valuable, digestible and entertaining tech/ lifestyle content. Your responsibilities will also include sharing content to raise brand awareness and monitoring web traffic and metrics to identify best practices.

Our ideal team member is a professional with demonstrable creative writing, photo & video and marketing skills. As our Content Coordinator, you should perform well under deadlines and be detail-oriented.

You should be able to oversee all marketing content initiatives to ensure TechSesh community engagement, brand consistency and be open to trying crazy, new ideas.

The  Content Coordinator is a highly motivated, creative individual with experience and a passion for connecting with current and future community members within the tech, lifestyle  and entrepreneurial space. That passion comes through as he/she engages with community on a daily basis, with the ultimate goal of turning readers into die-hard TechSesh community members.

Community leadership and participation (both online and offline) are integral to TechSesh’s Content Coordinator’s success. An essential component is communicating our  brand in a positive, authentic way that will attract today’s modern tech and social culture.

The Content Coordinator is instrumental in managing the company’s content-related assets and should always be learning, as it’s a crucial component to their success.

Lastly, we want to our new crew members to be highly passionate & knowledgeable about the tech community. You should be reading and staying up to date with the technology world, social media world, business world and such. You should also have a good eye for style and design.


We require work samples to apply for this position.

What you'll do:

  • Develop content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing targets

  • Collaborate with marketing and design teams to plan and develop site content, style and layout (and if easy enough, develop and create yourself)

  • Create and publish engaging content (writing, photos, videos and various types of art media)

  • Edit, proofread and improve posts

  • Optimize content according to SEO

  • Use content management systems to analyze website traffic and users engagement metrics

  • Manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms to increase web traffic

  • Create, customize and execute our digital graphic strategy for each social media channel

  • Collaborate with Digital team to support content marketing (animation, blog, social media assets, and more) and website design.

  • Help bring new ideas for design and content creation to the team using your expertise and eye for great design.

  • Ensure compliance with law (e.g. copyright and data protection)

  • Stay up-to-date with developments and generate new ideas to draw audience’s attention

  • Repurpose content for different mediums including social media and video

  • Update all sections of the websites

  • Brainstorm with the team & then create, curate, and manage all published content (images, videos and written).

  • Monitor, listen and respond to users in a “social” way while cultivating leads and sale

  • Design, create and manage promotions and Social ad campaigns.

  • Become an advocate for the company in social media spaces and all digital spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate.

  • You always keep an eye on new trends, new technologies, new formats, updates on social channels and audience evolution to inspire and be inspired in your everyday creative work

 

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a focus on Journalism, Writing, Communications or PR

  • Minimum experience is 1 year.  

  • Must be able to commute to West Hollywood 3 days/week

  • Proven work experience involved with content management and/or creation

  • Hands on experience with MS Office, WordPress, Squarespace, Canva, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Vimeo, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe, Pinterest

  • Basic technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing

  • Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics

  • Excellent writing skills in English

  • Good organizational and time-management skills

  • Creative minded with an ability to conceive interesting ideas for new content

  • Proficient in content marketing: theory and application

  •

  • Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing

  • Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound

  • Enjoys a working knowledge of the blogging ecosystem relevant to the company’s field

  • Is a team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary. (ie: content development, creation and editing of content, and online reputation management)

  • Makes evident good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly

  • Maintains a working knowledge of principles of SEO including keyword research and Google Analytics. Highly knowledgeable in the principles of “Search and Social”

  • Demonstrates Social media service techniques such as empathy, patience, advocacy and conflict resolution

  • Able to work independently with little oversight; dependable and reliable

  • Excellent collaborator who appreciates learning about all parts of the business, eager to contribute to a variety of projects and initiatives

  • Believer in and advocate for TechSesh values and mission
