In 2009, Riot released its debut title League of Legends and has since gone on to become the most played PC game in the world and an essential driver of the explosive growth of esports. Delivering an immersive experience for a global audience while also collaborating on new games gives our Audio discipline exciting and complex problems to solve. The Audio Team at Riot strives to bring lasting sonic experiences for players. We help breathe life into our games, cinematics, esports, albums, and more through the use of sound. We are also always enhancing our team and techniques by experimenting and playing the games we love.

As Audio Coordinator, you will report into the Head of Audio at Riot. You’ll play a dynamic role on a diverse discipline, with the chance to grow in sound design craft. You’ll manage pipelines for the audio discipline, clearing the path for sound designers, composers, and voice-over craftspeople to bring awesome audio experiences for players and audiences. Additionally, you will build and maintain relationships with our roster of external partners and vendors. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable managing several in-flight tasks at once, and has a strong passion for becoming a sound designer.

As an Audio Coordinator for Creative & IP Development, you will work on a small team, functioning as a central point of contact for the entire audio discipline. You will manage requests, reduce blockers and destroy pain points for audio craftspeople across products at the studio. You will be largely independent in the role, but will also work together with the Head of Audio and project Audio Directors to support a vast array of opportunity spaces for the discipline. You’ll also work with our partners in finance, legal, and IT. Your frequent interaction with this large network of fellow Rioters requires you to serve as a steadfast ambassador for the audio discipline across the organization, following and emulating our values wherever you go.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage pipelines for the audio discipline
  • Order and maintain gear and software for the audio discipline
  • Arrange the setup of new audio vendors and outsourcing of projects
  • Organize team outings, events, knowledge share meetings, and other audio centered events and gatherings
  • Maintain the discipline sound library and documentation, including tagging, archiving, backup, and guides.
  • Maintain calendars and reminders for discipline-wide rituals

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ years audio related work experience
  • Knowledge of computer based digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Nuendo and Reaper.
  • Knowledge of audio production basics

Desired Qualifications:

  • Degree in Audio/Sound Production or related fields a plus

Our Perks:

We offer medical, dental, and vision plans that cover you, your spouse/domestic partner, and children. Life insurance, parental leave, plus short-term and long-term disability coverage are also available. Riot will support your retirement benefits with a company match, and double down on your donations of time and money to non-profit charitable organizations. Balance between work and personal life is encouraged with open paid time off, and a play fund so you can broaden and deepen your personal relationship with games.
