The Role


Job Summary & Responsibilities:

The Associate Producer (full time, salaried, regular) will Assists Supervising and Senior producer in development of assigned creative responsibilities. Essential duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Screening all show material for campaign development
  • Writing concept presentations and scripts
  • Editing promotional videos
  • Working with audio, design and motion graphics team members to ensure brand consistency 
  • Makes sure all creative is of the highest quality and in line with all brand guidelines
  • Maintains production timelines and schedules in coordination with creative and strategy leads for all assigned deliverables and communicates any pertinent updates in a consistent and timely manner
  • Requests all promotional material from content team and maintains a strong relationship with the production department to assist creative and strategy teams in receiving required assets for promotion in a timely manner
  • Fields and develops creative requests from all MotorTrend departments as assigned by the Supervising Producer
  • Maintains organization of all archived promotional material
  • Attends and engages in all team meetings and required events as notified by creative and strategy teams.


Supervisory Responsibility:

  • This position will not include supervising one or more employees where applicable.


Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-2 years of experience working in an in-house marketing creative team or creative agency


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Strong writing skills and understanding of production workflow
  • Expert editing skills
  • Strong understanding of Adobe Creative suite
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Collaborative and professional, “can do,” attitude
  • Position may require evening and weekend work on an occasional basis


Physical Requirements:

  • The ability to sit for prolonged period of time and view computer screen.


Equipment/Software Used:

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Adobe Creative Suite in particular Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, InDesign


Work Environment:

  • Work is performed in an office environment that is well lit and ventilated.
