We have team members located across the United States spanning multiple time zones. This means we put in extra effort to make sure we connect and collaborate in ways that make sense for us. We know how valuable the flexibility of remote work is for our employees. 

We know that personal connection is the foundation for the great work we do together. In order to build those relationships with team members in other cities, we meet with coworkers in person two times a year at a full company offsite and a departmental offsite. These offsites are expected of employees and are great opportunities to meet the people you work with every day and to do some of the work that is much more difficult to do virtually.

What the Role Is

Babylist is looking for an organized Managing Editor to oversee the daily operations of our growing Branded Content team, an exciting and fast-growing area of Babylist’s business. Producing over 700+ long- and short-form written and video content pieces per year, this team helps expecting and new parents make decisions and helps clients achieve their goals. 

In this role,  you’ll be part editor and part project manager. You are skilled at developmental and line editing, creating and managing processes, looking for operational efficiencies, ensuring deadlines are met and making sure we meet client objectives while maintaining Babylist’s user-centric voice. You’re an excellent people manager who is excited about working with and developing a passionate team of creatives. In this role, you will take a high-performing team to the next level through operational excellence and strong people management.

Who You Are

  • 8+  years editorial experience with multiple years in branded content 
  • A strong people manager, with experience managing creatives
  • An operational thinker with a passion for streamlining systems and processes, and who can manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Excels at building and refining processes that allow for creativity and big ideas, while also ensuring efficiency and operational excellence
  • A skilled editor with a solid understanding of the branded content world and how to create user-centric content within it
  • Understands the importance of balancing the clients needs with what the user wants
  • Has experience with many different forms of content creation, including: email, video, social and articles
  • Knowledge of Asana or similar project management tool

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Manage a team of content creators currently responsible for 700+ content pieces across various channels each year
  • Bring operational excellence to everything we do through fantastic project and people  management
  • Streamline and/or create workflows and content creation processes to help team members work efficiently and effectively
  • Collaborate with marketing, partnerships and account management to drive branded content campaigns, processes and workflows to success
  • Drive key operational projects to take our content creation from reactive to proactive
  • Edit content to ensure user-centricity, brand voice and editorial standards

Babylist takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.

The estimated pay range for this role is $132,800.00 - $199,200.00

In addition, Babylist offers equity, bonus, and benefits, including company paid health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies.
