WITHIN is looking for a Systems Engineer to join our Platform team. As we continue to build out the WITHIN ecosystem to support an increasing variety of filmed and interactive content, we need a skilled and passionate engineer to design and implement technologies that scale the ways in which players can engage with our content. The ideal candidate will have worked as a generalist in the electronic entertainment industry with some experience in core systems architecture.

Responsibilities 

• Generalize WITHIN client-side system software for use across a wide range of platforms
• Build tooling to optimize content distribution
• Research areas of improvement and implement changes aimed at interactive experience stability, performance, and memory footprint 
• Evaluate and communicate the potential impact of code changes across the team
• Test, debug and document code

Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering or a related area
• Minimum of 3 years industry experience with 1 or more shipped titles
• Solid knowledge of C# and C/C++
• Familiarity with systems level engineering for Windows platform
• Self-motivated individual, comfortable solving problems outside of primary area of expertise

Pluses 

• Experience with the Unity 3D Engine
• Basic 3D math
• Familiarity with fundamentals of compression, encryption, and security
• Experience with Perforce/Plastic SCM and Jira
• Platform experience on mobile, console or Linux
