You’ll Report To: Directing, Engineering

A typical day as a Sr. QA Engineer might include:

  • Development and execution of functional, system, and acceptance tests
  • Test planning for new feature development
  • Follow through on every issue to ensure its completion
  • Development and execution of test cases
  • Reviewing functional, technical specifications, and wireframes to develop test plans
  • Implementing useful processes that aid the team as a whole, where needed
  • Manual and Automated test execution, strong attention to detail during all test execution, verification of functionality, usability, and all other coverage areas
  • Validating that project adheres to technical specifications and well accepted standards
  • Participating in reviews at all phases of the software development cycle
  • Contributing to overall Quality Assurance best practices, strategy and methodology
  • Ensuring that software conforms to style guides and standards (directory structures, file naming conventions, etc.)
  • We are a fast paced group that does daily releases

You’ll be successful if you are a results-oriented, hardworking, ambitious, and driven self-starter.

What You Have:

  • 3+ years’ experience in QA and testing within a software development environment, preferably with websites and mobile web apps
  • Experience in writing Automated Tests with Selenium - JavaScript, Java, or C#
  • Experience with command line or PowerShell scripting
  • Experience writing scripts in either JavaScript, Python
  • Experience writing test plans, objective definitions, QA findings and reporting
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience with QA methodologies, tools and approaches (black box, white box and automated testing experience)
  • Strong documentation and test plan writing
  • Development and execution of functional, system, and acceptance tests
  • Test planning for new feature development
  • Follow through on every issue to ensure its completion
  • Development and execution of test cases
  • Reviewing functional, technical specifications, and wireframes to develop test plans
  • Implementing useful processes that aid the team as a whole, where needed
  • Manual and Automated test execution, strong attention to detail during all test execution, verification of functionality, usability, and all other coverage areas
  • Validating that project adheres to technical specifications and well accepted standards
  • Participating in reviews at all phases of the software development cycle
  • Contributing to overall Quality Assurance best practices, strategy and methodology
  • Ensuring that software conforms to style guides and standards (directory structures, file naming conventions, etc
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Not afraid to wear multiple hats - no job being too small or too large.

Huge Pluses:

  • Familiar with Webdriver IO
  • Familiar with Node.js
  • Familiar with NoSQL and non-relational databases (MongoDB)
  • Familiar with AWS or other cloud computing services
