At Dollar Shave Club, we are looking for highly motivated, result oriented and driven individuals to work on big data technologies driving near real time analytic solutions supporting our internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities include and not limited to:

• Integrate and utilize big data technologies to support massive scalability, reliability and performance.
• Use emerging technologies to design and build a business unit centric Data Marts with Access controls and Governance
• Work closely with product management, peer engineering teams and manage the full software lifecycle in an agile environment
• Work closely with Finance, CRM, Marketing and other business teams and provide data insights with quality, completeness and consistency
• Supported business teams with reporting and self-serve BI
• Be on-call support in rotations for the data marts and reporting

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the following areas:                        a. Working experience interfacing messaging frameworks like Kafka and    event driven systems
• Deep understanding and hands on experience of Big Data / NoSQL frameworks, interfacing and configuring Spark Streaming , Data Frames.
• Working knowledge of Spark SQL, Redshift or HBase or Hive or Cassandra
• Hands on experience with Server side caching (Redis), and Amazon web services or equivalent cloud service and data processing frameworks like Apache Nifi

• About 8+ years of overall industry experience with:
• Data processing and data warehousing
• Traditional RDBMS and Time Series databases
• Work experience supporting BI tools like Looker, Tableau, Qlik Sense or alike
• Test Driven Development in a lean startup like environment
•  Programming in at least 2 of these programming languages: Java, Python, Scala, c, c++ in Linux/Unix environment
• Working Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools
• Ability to multi task and context switch as business needs arise
• Ability to support complete data platform stack from data staging to transformations to reporting off of the Data Marts

• Knowledge in near real time data processing using DRUID like technologies is a plus
• Good understanding of Lambda architecture is required
• Understanding of Machine Learning libraries and implementing algorithms in production is good to have
• Ad technology, DMP experience is a plus
• Experience with Agile / SCRUM methodology for product development
