OpenX is looking for passionate senior front-end engineers to help us build the UI platform that powers our products. You will be working on developing high-performance, powerful UIs, spearheading the platform's development, continually investing in it, and helping other teams develop the best user experiences on top of it. You will work closely with other engineers to make sure the APIs are well defined, documented, tested, and easy to use. You'll also be working with product and UX teams to bring the best user experience and design to fruition. Scalability, performance, and rock-solid reliability are all factors to consider with every line you code. Your opinions will be important in all phases of product development, starting from exploration to development to deployment.
So what exactly are we looking for?
- Extensive and proven experience building high-performance, interactive, complex Javascript applications using frameworks such as Angular, React, etc.
- Strong proficiency with every stage of UI development, from configuring task runners and linters to continuous deployment
- Discipline in shipping code complete with unit tests and automation
- A desire to push the envelope leveraging technologies such as TypeScript and Webpack 2
- An appreciation and eye for design, striving for pixel perfection across various platforms and devices
- A deep understanding of web technologies and APIs
We'd love to work with someone who can geek out on shadow DOMs, reactive programming, event driven interfaces, and similar topics. Prototypical inheritance and REST API consuming doesn't make you wince. Frameworks like AngularJS, React/Flux, and so on are familiar, but you can discern whether there may be a language, framework, or utility that would be the right fit for any given job. It also doesn't hurt to have experience with C/C++, Java, Node.js, or Erlang.
As a senior engineer, you'll own components, processes, and workflows that demand professionalism, excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.
