SendGrid’s Operations Engineering team is responsible for providing the underlying infrastructure and platform that our developers use to deliver amazing products that our customers value and love. SendGrid’s services run in a fully hybrid environment, mixing on-prem infrastructure in multiple geographically distributed data centers with public cloud resources. As a Senior Software Engineer you will be expected to help author code that makes our systems and people more efficient. We expect you to provide thought leadership related to code quality, testing, scaling, and automation. The primary languages that you will work in are Ruby and golang.

Our engineers have built high-throughput distributed systems that process billions of events per day. We transform each message along the way, enrich them with tracking data and sophisticated templating and substitution features, and then deliver them to email service providers around the world. The Operations Engineering team builds and maintains the systems that allow 15 different engineering teams to support over 6,000 hosts running 400 unique roles.

About You

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of engineering experience, with 4+ years of hands-on coding experience using Ruby on Monorail and/or GoLang
