ZEFR is growing! We are hiring a new Senior Software Engineer to our growing applications team. This is an opportunity for problem-solving with an innovative team that is making magic every day by developing better, faster, more powerful, robust, and scalable tools for other internal teams and external clients.

As a great candidate for this position, you will be proficient in writing all aspects of a web application in an open-source, fast-paced environment. Many of our applications use Python as primary language but we are language agnostics looking for leadership skills in this role. We look for engineers who think of the whole as they do their part; who take non-dogmatic approaches to development and use the tools at hand in creative ways.

Here's what you'll do: 

• Collaborate with your core team of 5 in developing applications for internal and external clients
• Develop completely new products and tools that will be shared across the application development landscape at ZEFR
• Effectively communicate technical concepts
• Mentor junior engineers

Here's what we're looking for: 

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of total professional experience
• 3+ years of professional experience writing in an open source environment (Python experience is a plus)
• Demonstrated web stack knowledge and experience, including API design and microservices
• Experience with digital media, social media, and their tools such as Google AdWords is a big plus
• Thorough testing and code review standards/practices
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a team-player attitude
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
