Consumer Track is looking for an ambitious and hands-on Senior Manager of SEO. The ideal candidate should be a proven self-starter who has a strong understanding and passion for all aspects of SEO. This role will help inform content creation & product optimization across multiple properties.

The Senior Manager of SEO will help further the SEO culture at Consumer Track through effective communication of SEO best practices at all levels of the organization. The Senior Manager, SEO is responsible for the Organic Traffic Segment. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead in-house SEO efforts for CTI's network of sites with a focus on GoBankingRates.com to help improve site quality, user experience, relevant keyword rankings and organic traffic. Lead SEO strategy, planning, execution, optimization, ongoing SEO assessments and measurement/reporting.
  • Hire and manage the SEO Team to execute all SEO strategies on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
  • Grow and develop the SEO Team to generate consistent results and constantly learn improved skills and strategies.
  • Execute On-Page, Off-Page and Technical SEO best practices to improve site performance, rankings, authority and overall quality.
  • Facilitate SEO training sessions to ensure marketing, technical, content and product development teams remain current on the latest SEO best practices.
  • Work with the analytics team to develop reporting for SEO that demonstrates the effectiveness of the team's SEO efforts and illustrates KPIs for key initiatives.
  • Work with Engineering and QA teams to ensure technical SEO best practices are properly implemented.
  • Work with Product Managers on SEO & UX “best practices” to guide product plans including site redesigns, product enhancements, and new features.
  • Benchmark successful competitor sites to learn new possible strategies and ideas. Conduct market and competitor research to provide actionable insights that can be implemented by internal teams.
  • Audit external sites for potential mergers/acquisitions/opportunities.
  • Perform ongoing keyword research to advise content strategy, analysis, recommendations, and execution to optimize existing content and identify new opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS
  • 5 years of experience in media Search Engine Optimization.
  • Minimum of 3 years of managing, hiring, training and developing SEO talent.
  • Extensive understanding of SEO principles, best practices, and cross-industry trends.
  • High proficiency in SEO analytics, technical SEO, testing and optimization including: Google/Bing Webmaster Tools, Google Analytics, SEO Moz, and SEM Rush.
  • Knowledge of testing and conversion optimization solutions including: landing page optimization, A/B testing, and multivariate tests.
  • Good understanding of technical aspects of SEO including: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, URL structures, keyword analysis, content optimization, search engine spiders, sitemaps, indexes and algorithms.
  • ROI driven and metrics focused.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
