Atom is our new, asset management, software as a service solution that enables organizations to manage, optimize, and analyze the lifecycle of their transportation assets. As mobile data collection is a critical component to asset management, you will be focused on architecting and developing a highly-scalable, customizable iOS application; working closely with our backend and web engineers in a collaborative, agile team environment. Primary Duties Include:

• Lead and contribute to all engineering efforts from architecture, planning, and organization to execution and delivery
• Design and implement native iOS applications using industry best practices
• Working directly with our Product Management and Design teams Experience in an Agile development environment
• Developing high quality software following best development practices, including code quality standards, test-driven development, and working software releases; while ensuring nothing is rushed and tech debt is addressed in product schedule
• Maintaining and updating our CI/CD pipelines, which automates our deployments and test pipelines
• Working in a culture of transparency, where all code is reviewed, paired programming is commonplace, and the entire team has a say in design and direction of software
• Working in a full DevOps team, owning features and software both in development and in operations

Minimum Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, math or physics or equivalent practical experience
• 2+ years developing applications in Objective-C or Swift
• Experience shipping at least one application to the iTunes Store, and ideally currently available in the Store
• Experience with geolocation on a mobile device, and balancing device resources, including battery and bandwidth, with application needs
• Ability and desire to work in areas outside of comfort zone
• Desire to work with a cutting edge technology stack powering a multi-tenant SaaS application:  Kubernetes, Docker, React/Node, Java, NoSQL & SQL datastores, all built on Google Container Engine and deployed with fully automated CI/CD pipelines

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with OOP design patterns
• 3+ years developing applications in two or more of the following languages: Swift, Objective-C, Java, Python or Javascript
• Experience working with the following technologies: Kubernetes, Docker, React, Node, Java, NoSQL & SQL datastores, Google Container Engine, CI/CD pipelines
• General experience working Google Cloud Platform products (particularly Google Container Engine)
• Developing personal projects that display a strong product & UX sense, and engineering feat in their design
• Experience working with Google Maps API, PostGIS, or other Geospatial display and analytics APIs/frameworks
• Experience implementing authentication and authorization for applications, including JWT and OAuth 2.0
