Overview
We’re looking for a passionate Senior Experience Designer to join our talented and growing Experience Design (UX) team in Los Angeles. As a Sr Experience Designer, you will lead Product design for our iOS and Android apps. We are searching for an exceptional creative Experience designer (UX) to work across all consumer touch points: Web, apps, marketing, member services, physical products, packaging, retail and distribution. You will be responsible for developing product and feature improvements with an eye toward the overall brand experience, while collaborating with other Experience Design team members, visual designers, product managers, and subject matter experts who are dedicated to the future of men’s grooming.

We’re looking for a passionate Senior Experience Designer to join our talented and growing Experience Design (UX) team in Los Angeles. As a Sr Experience Designer, you will lead Product design for our iOS and Android apps. We are searching for an exceptional creative Experience designer (UX) to work across all consumer touch points: Web, apps, marketing, member services, physical products, packaging, retail and distribution. You will be responsible for developing product and feature improvements with an eye toward the overall brand experience, while collaborating with other Experience Design team members, visual designers, product managers, and subject matter experts who are dedicated to the future of men’s grooming.
Responsibilities
- Lead product design of our mobile iOS and Android apps.
- Partner with Product Management to ensure product roadmap is strategic in terms of evolving the DSC member experience.
- Plan and facilitate brainstorm sessions.
- Work with our UX researchers to plan and conduct research activities such as usability testing, persona development and needfinding.
- Create all project necessary documentation including ecosystems, user flows, wireframes, sitemaps, user scenarios, functional specifications, navigation schemas and clickable prototypes.
- Identify opportunities for improving the overall user experience with DSC both digital and physical.
- Participate in user experience thought leadership within the company.
- Conduct sound, evidence-based arguments to support design decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred in design-related discipline: Interaction or Interface design; Architecture; Human-Computer Interaction; Service Design; Design Planning; Graphic Design; Communications with ideally a Masters.
- 4+yrs experience at an agency, consulting or In-house experience.
- Outstanding portfolio of native app and web experiences.
- Strong presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal) are required.
- Must be a self-starter who will bring original ideas and fresh approaches to each project they work on.
- Detail-oriented and highly developed organizational skills including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent understanding and knowledge of User Centered Design principles and methods.
- Strong self-management skills as well as ability to work as a contributing member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Fluency in industry best practices with the ability to communicate decisions made.
- Proficiency in Sketch, InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator.
- Proficiency at prototyping in code or using programs like Proto.io, Principle, Justinmind or Invision.
- Strong understanding of Google Material Design patterns and iOS guidelines.
- Familiarity with software technologies and platforms such as Android, iOS, HTML5, CSS, Javascript, etc.
- Experience designing offline, physical consumer experiences
