Description:

We are seeking a highly creative and motivated Senior Environment Artist. In this position, you will be expected to help define the environment quality bar for the studio. You will also be expected to play a critical role in setting technical best practices for the development of our environment tools, pipelines and systems. Working on AAA F2P title, you will work with a team of artists to model and texture environments from supplied concept art. High quality modeling, lighting, rigging and texturing skills are required. You will collaborate with other leads on the team including Lead game designers, Lead programmers, and Technical artists to create rich environments.

Responsibilities:

     
  • Work with the Art Director and Production team to define key milestones and deliverables.
  •  
  • Actively accepts and provides feedback to the environment art team.
  •  
  • Ability to work with the Art Director to ensure consistency between vision and implementation of game assets.
  •  
  • Collaborate with Art Director to develop game environment procedures and pipelines.
  •  
  • Makes a significant, direct contribution to the creation of environment art.
  •  
  • Overlook environment outsourcing to ensure the quality bar is hit.

Requirements:

     
  • 5+ years of experience in game development modeling and texturing environments.
  •  
  • Superior eye for light, shade, color, and detail in creating texture maps.
  •  
  • Strong experience with 3D Studio Max, Z-Brush and Photoshop.
  •  
  • Strong experience with working and understanding Terrain Editors for creating believable terrains.
  •  
  • An exceptional understanding of form, Architecture, shape, structure, and silhouette in regard to modeling.
  •  
  • An exceptional knowledge and understanding of modern Engines, building levels, lighting, and finishing post processing
  •  
  • Self-motivation, good communication skills, and a great team-player attitude.
  •  
  • Strong foundation in the traditional arts, including but not limited to figure drawing and environmental and/or architectural illustration.
  •  
  • A reel or portfolio demonstrating outstanding modeling, texturing and lighting skill.
  •  
  • Ability to take an art test
