We are seeking a Salesforce Platform Manager for our AppExchange product, Pulse, in our El Segundo, CA office. The Salesforce Platform Manager will influence new features of the application including, but not limited to, custom Apex code, custom front-end code, integrations, sales process, storage management, and reporting.  The role will also manage a team of Salesforce Engineers and serve as the proxy for the team in dealing with internal and external customers.

They will be responsible for managing all aspects of Salesforce.com (SFDC) development including following coding best practices, code reviews, optimizing for best SFDC performance, and mentoring junior staff. Role also includes collaborating with internal stakeholders and team members to build a best-in-class AppExchange product that supports business requirements and processes for sales enablement and acceleration.  The candidate should have proven experience with APEX programming, Visualforce, Force.com APIs, and profiling Salesforce Org performance characteristics.

Duties:

• Interface with internal and external customers to define requirements
• Create and deliver appropriate documentation, training and communication around feature(s) and process changes
• Perform simple administrator functions such as user management, profiles, roles, permissions, rules, assignment rules, queues, licenses, capacity and storage management
• Identify and evaluate new capabilities
• Evaluate existing and future system functionality and prescribe rollout plans: including socialization, training, communication, testing and release management
• Provide support and troubleshoot system issues

Required Skills:

• Proven ability to effectively interact with business users and stakeholders throughout SDLC
• Proven leadership skills, multi-tasking, planning, coordinating aggressive schedules and providing excellent customer service levels
• Strong ability to express complex technical concepts, both verbally and in writing
• Skilled in configuration and customization of Apex and Visualforce page development
• Demonstrated understanding of consulting business processes

Qualifications:

• 5+ years in a Salesforce development role, including Apex and Visualforce development
• Advanced knowledge of Salesforce data modeling, reporting, and dashboard best practices
• Demonstrated competency in Object-oriented Programming
  Experience in SFDC APIs, SOSL, SOQL, SOAP or REST based web services, SQL, XML, and JavaScript
• Experience with AngularJS and Mongo a plus
• Experience with building and maintaining Custom Objects, and integrating Salesforce with external systems
• BS or BA degree in business, information systems or computer science with an emphasis in information technology or equivalent experience
• Experience with AppExchange or Managed packages a plus
• SFDC certification a plus
