Candidate MUST have experience working in VR. The successful applicant will demonstrate high calibre user interface design in virtual or augmented reality applications or platforms. We will also be interested to consider candidates that demonstrate a passion and understanding of interfaces that work natively in 3D even if they are not VR. You have a compelling design portfolio that gives people goosebumps, you have an eye for detail and nuance, you have bold ideas about design, user interaction and the future of technological interfaces, but you’re also practical about deadlines, interaction flows and strive to create experiences that are intuitive and inspirational.

We’re building some original “never been done before” experiences in-house for public release as consumer products, but also in partnership with big companies and brands that you’ll know and like. 

Responsibilities:

• Identify and design how a user interacts with our application across all major VR/AR platforms.
• Ability to rapidly prototype these user interfaces and interactions in 3D
• Create wireframes, mock-ups and related documents to illustrate user interfaces/flows if necessary.
• Direct/Develop specification documents for the engineering team
• Collaborate closely with engineering and product team to ensure robust deployment of your designs
• Champion your ideas and accept criticism and input from the team and external testers.

• Passionate about VR/AR, new technology and challenges
• An excellent portfolio of professional UX design work
• 5+ years of experience as a UX designer or similar role
• Bachelor’s degree in human-computer interaction (HCI), interaction design, or equivalent professional experience
• Ability to produce visualizations, motion studies and/or prototypes
• Understanding and experience working  in various VR platforms
• Solid knowledge of UI and UX practices and current competitive trends in UI design
• Excellent visual skills and sensibility for form and composition  
• Intermediate skills in each stage of the 3D Art pipeline (Modeling, Texturing, Rigging, Animation)
• Basic scripting and game logic in either (or both) Unity or Unreal Engine 4
• Ability to take direction and build to specifications
• Ability to give direction and build to your own ideas

• Experience developing user experience solutions within Agile development methodology
