We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to help us build and maintain our core platform. You will work cross-functionally to test new features and support existing systems. You will help drive the quality of every aspect of a feature, including design, database schema, backend services and user interfaces. You will work closely with product managers, project managers, engineers and designers. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the media industry.

Responsibilities

• Create test plans and test cases
• Review user interfaces for conformity and functionality
• Efficiently execute test cases across all functional areas of our products
• Find, isolate, document, regress and track bugs through resolution
• Interpret and report testing results and be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process
• Work with software development engineers to understand the overall technical architecture and how each feature is implemented

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or equivalent
• 2-4 years of experience in software development and testing. Especially in Agile development.
• Some experience with the following programming languages: C#, Java, Javascript, Bash, Scala
• Demonstrated expertise in black box and grey box testing methodologies, experience with standard QA and development tools and the ability to operate within short release cycles

Appreciated Skills

• Experience with testing frameworks like JMeter.
• Experience working with Linux platforms.
• Experience working with continuous integration and deployment tools (Maven, Jenkins, Grunt, Gradle).
• Exposure to one or more of the following RDBMS technologies: PostgreSQL, H2, Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with GIT SCM
• Experience testing Tablet or Mobile applications
• Experience with AWS or other cloud computing solutions in production
