Role Summary:
DogVacay is currently looking for an experienced full time QA engineer. Our software platforms support transactions for an online marketplace of consumers and pet care service providers, discovery and matching engines, messaging engines spanning multiple channels, and much more.
You will be responsible for understanding the requirements at the beginning of each sprint, communicating with product and dev teams and performing functional testing and regression testing.
You will get a chance to work with latest technology stacks in an agile environment.
Requirements:
- BS/Masters in Computer Science or equivalent
- 2-3 years hands on QA/Testing Experience
- Understanding of Database testing and ability to write simple SQL queries
- Must be comfortable with agile development practices, unit and integration testing, iterative development and releases
- Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and empathy
Responsibilities:
- Review business requirements, identify and analyze test scenarios, troubleshoot issues, report and log defects
- Test execution in both manual and automated fashions
- Work independently and in a team based environment
- Communicate with technical and non-technical resources
- Develop standards and procedures to determine the product quality and release readiness
- Discover bugs within software, document case studies, and drive innovation to streamline overall testing process
- Experience with agile development process, web based testing applications, and researching new technologies
- Review user interfaces for consistency and functionality
- Solid understanding of QA testing environments
