The Honest Company is expanding our Product Development team! We’re looking for a new Product Manager for Supplements and Feeding. As a Product Manager on our R&D team, you’ll be responsible for managing communication between the department and the rest of the organization. You’ll create product development plans and partner with teams across Honest to cultivate, develop, and renovate our supplements and feeding products, all in line with our strategic vision for the category.

What you’ll do:

• Craft product development plans, conduct R&D oversight and implementation, interface with the Packaging team, and support the Claims and Clinicals team
• Work in partnership with Marketing, Sourcing, and Project Management to lead projects through the Honest NPD stage gate process from concept to launch
• Partner with Marketing to refine strategic vision for new products and effectively lead projects to commercialize new products or product improvements
• Partner with Sourcing to manage relationships with manufacturers, including handling negotiations about formulations/ingredients, IP ownership, and supply chain structure
• Conduct effective research to uncover insights and drive development of concepts, packaging offerings, rapid prototyping, and product elements
• Develop strategies and implementation plans to improve projects and streamline functions
• Ensure on-time delivery of products, line extension, and packaging projects against timelines
• Analyze category, ingredient trends, and dynamics leading to key conclusions, implications and recommended action plans
• Attend tradeshows and conferences. Responsibilities at the shows will include manufacturer and raw material supplier meetings, ingredient trends reporting, competitive review, on-going education, and sourcing of new manufacturers and raw material suppliers

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree (food science, food engineering, nutrition, or other scientific discipline preferred)
• 5+ years of product development or product management experience in a CPG food, supplements, infant feeding, or nutrition environment (including R&D, pilot plant, regulatory, QA/QC, or product marketing experience)
• 3+ years of experience managing teams, developing others, and managing a high volume of projects successfully
• Demonstrated leadership and expertise in product development, preferably in a consumer packaged goods or retail company
• Experience collaborating with Marketing/Brand to analyze multiple and often disconnected data sources (target consumer trends and insights)
• Experience in applying new product stage gate processes and product improvement processes against high quality standards
• Experience managing budgets and financial metrics
