The Honest Company is expanding our Product Development team! We’re looking for a detail-oriented project manager to support the development process of retail packaging and packaging improvements. As an R&D Packaging Development Associate, you’ll manage project timelines and execution against the product pipeline. Your job will include outlining, developing and validating ideas, researching vendors, and collaborating with suppliers on specs and pricing to bring the products to market. What you’ll do:
- Own retail packaging development plans and vendor relationship management
- Provide project updates to product and packaging managers on a regular basis
- Oversee current package optimization as well as pipeline development
- Work with vendors to source all required samples for primary and secondary packaging
- Review launch-related copy for accuracy
- Communicate with vendors on cost, material shipping, and logistics
- Ensure timely deliveries of all project samples and final goods from vendors and suppliers
- Manage relationships with Operations, Retail, and Fulfillment to ensure on-time delivery of projects to market
- Make recommendations to improve projects, products, packaging, and programs to streamline processes
- Ensure on-time delivery of products, line extension, and packaging projects against company calendars
- Analyze category, brand and competitive trends and dynamics leading to key conclusions, implications, and recommended action plans

What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in packaging or engineering with a packaging concentration
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Ability to motivate and influence cross-functional groups and stakeholders across the organization
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
Bonus points for:
- Traditional merchandising or consumer good products experience
