We are looking for a Mobile App Analyst who loves to play and have fun with data specifically for mobile product measurement and success. In this role, you lead the strategy and requirements for the product analytics tool used to extract and translate mobile app behavioral data. In addition, you will own the creation of key metrics, analyses, and insights for the product and company roadmap. You will report to the Data Analytics (DA) Director and expect to collaborate cross-functionally with all Tala teams.

Responsibilities

  • Be constantly curious and continue to pursue in-depth explorations of our data sets
  • Support the internal Business Intelligence product with regards to new data and new reporting
  • Leverage new techniques to investigate our data and incorporate external information to boost our knowledge of this market
  • Analyze data to identify trends, highlight problem areas and elevate key insights to management
  • Communicate complicated data findings in a clear and concise manner to our multi-country teams
  • Collaborate with other teams on initiatives that improve our company-level KPIs and match our corporate priorities
  • Champion analytics across the product and organization

Requirements

  • 2-4 years experience performing mobile data analyses for a technology or consumer app company
  • Proficient in SQL or other data-mining languages
  • Bachelor's degree in any field which requires logical creative thinking
  • Proven strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong technical communications skills

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience in tracking mobile apps with Amplitude or MixPanel
  • Experience working with engineers to implement behavioral tracking and analytics
  • Interest in payments, fintech and technology
  • Ability to absorb vast quantities of information in short periods of time
  • Proven ability to make logical and commercial decisions based on partial data and under time pressure
  • Live an active life with multiple activities, because you can always rest later
  • Knowledge of financial inclusion or leveraging mobile technology for social impact
  • Familiarity with alternative financial products, such as prize-linked savings or microinsurance
  • Previous work on evaluating product iterations or experiments
