About The Opportunity
We are looking for a driven, clever, and tech-inclined Marketing Associate to lead marketing initiatives for Sidebench, build and manage company partnerships, and increase our visibility with the aim of generating inbound leads. This is a new role at Sidebench, and we are looking for a self-starter who is comfortable in a fluid environment and is excited by the opportunity to have creative control to devise, structure, and run different marketing, relationship management, and lead generation programs for one of the fastest growing companies in the US. You will work closely with Sidebench's partners and the business development team on a day-to-day basis and will be responsible for aggressively identifying, obtaining buy-in for, and subsequently pushing forward a variety of marketing projects. You will help tell the Sidebench story and share our experience and unique approach through presentations, publications, and events. You will help ensure our growth goals are being met and serve as a company evangelist.
You will be given a tremendous amount of independence and are expected to be a leader from day one. There is an incredible amount of growth potential within Sidebench and you alone will determine your ceiling.
Responsibilities
Structure and drive Sidebench marketing initiatives forward to increase our brand visibility and generate inbound leads
Understand our unique value offering and ensure consistent messaging across all platforms and channels
Work to build and grow mutually beneficial relationships with key contacts and find clever ways to promote our work and brand across both existing and new channels
Actively seek and participate in relevant events to develop strong value-add relationships with various community members in order to build both Sidebench’s and your own personal network with the aim of uncovering potential business opportunities
Identify and pursue new opportunities that build Sidebench's reputation as a thought leader (publications, speaking engagements, conferences, etc.)
Track and report on KPIs related to increased brand visibility and inbound leads as a result of Sidebench marketing initiatives
Own and oversee Sidebench's entire marketing funnel, including but not limited to our social media presence, marketing and case study decks, website content, email marketing activities, and digital advertising channels; manage Sidebench's online reputation on sites like Clutch.co
Support business development efforts by helping create crisp and compelling presentations tailored to a specific audience
Help brainstorm and coordinate logistics of Sidebench-hosted events and sponsored conferences
Never stop looking for ways to make Sidebench better
Requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to adapt your communication style (formal, fun/informal, etc.) based on your audience; comfortable working with and presenting in front of diverse audiences; visual literacy and an eye for aesthetics
Experience performing outreach to develop or build mutually beneficial working relationships
Strong familiarity with modern web and mobile technologies; ability to effectively tell Sidebench's story, articulate our market positioning, and intelligently speak to past client engagements - remember we are selling custom solutions and not products!
Foundational understanding of social media platforms, content production, analytics tools, and SEO as it pertains to the B2B tech space; ability and desire to self-teach and build a deeper understanding in key areas as Sidebench grows and your role evolves
Ability to create and enhance scalable marketing processes in order to keep pace with our growth
Must be responsive, pro-active, passionate about what we do, and adaptable – attitude is very important to us
You are determined to help build the best interactive consulting agency in Los Angeles
Strongly prefer experience in a sales or marketing role and / or experience at an agency or consulting firm
