About the Opportunity:

The primary purpose of Corporate IT Manager role is the planning, design, implementation, operation,maintenance, compliance and improvement of ReachLocal’s IT infrastructure.

This position reports to the Director of Technology and is responsible for managing the office infrastructure, employee equipment, network, phones, email, VPN, and endpoint security . This role will work closely with the Infrastructure Engineering Team.

About Your Responsibilities:
  • Manage a staff of 3 (growing to 5). in analyzing the business practices and operations of the ReachLocal Corporate IT Team to improve cost efficiency and team response.
  • Monitor and maintain the operations of local and wide area network in support of Business Users
  • Oversee the installation of computer hardware and software including provision, training and technical support to users
  • Assure the quality, functionality, connectivity, and compatibility of the company's computer software and hardware equipment
  • Supervisory personnel responsible for overseeing information technology’s help desk
  • Mentor and grow junior managers and team members
  • Motivate team, with customer first and culture of “yes” attitude
  • Measure results and use metric drive methodology to facilitate change
  • Responsible for supporting approximately 800 employees in US and Canada.
 About You:
  • 5 years of Information Technology experience, 2+ years’ of leadership experience within IT
  • 3+ years’ experience of running IT infrastructure for remote offices.
  • 2+ years’ experience maintaining endpoint automation and security
  • 2+ years’ experience maintaining supporting cloud-based email and documents solution such as Office 365 or Google GSuite
  • Bachelors of Science or equivalent experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving abilities and initiative
  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment, including cross functional groups
  • Proven negotiation and supplier management skills
  • Knowledge of best practices and experience of managing global Active Directory
  • Knowledge of best practices and experience with configuration and support of branch office network ( wireless LAN access, security, ip voice, QoS/Traffic Control, VPN tunnels )
  • Working knowledge of utilizing service desk software to managing team workflow
  • A clear understanding of information security concepts and best practices
  • Experience in utilizing cloud providers, such as AWS for IT services.
  • Experience in setting up “follow the sun” support model
  • Experience in BYOD (bring your own device) approach
  • Experience with wireless-first branch office setup
  • Experience with cloud-based telephony in production
  • A Working knowledge and being able to troubleshoot networks: routing, subnets, ACLs, site-to-site tunnels
