Role Summary

We’re looking for smart, gritty, and self-motivated software engineers to help build and scale our engineering platforms. Our software platforms support transactions for an online marketplace of consumers and pet care service providers, discovery and matching engines, messaging engines spanning multiple channels, and much more. You will be helping build new features, expand existing capabilities and help scale the platform to accommodate our rapidly growing customer base.

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience in programming and/or computer science
• Fluency in Vanilla JavaScript (ES5, ES6), CSS, HTML
• Experience with Frameworks such React
• Knowledge of Node and Express
• Knowledge of CSS extension languages such as SASS, Less, etc
• Ability to understand and write isomorphic code
• Experience with responsive design and knowledge of its best practices
• Must be very comfortable with agile development practices, unit and integration testing, iterative development and releases
• Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and empathy

Responsibilities:

• Propose and implement technical solutions, ensure their integrity with existing systems, ease of maintainability and fit in the organization-wide technical roadmap
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
• Collaborate to design, develop, test, stage and deploy solutions to production, monitor and support systems thereafter
• Ownership of code, applications and systems for quality, interoperability and performance
• Work in small cross-functional teams and actively collaborate with business and engineering stakeholders
