ROLE SUMMARY: 
The IT technician will be a reference point for all IT related queries at the user level. They will respond to user needs in a timely manner and ensure the optimal running of all systems, among other technical duties.  IT technicians are expected to display good interpersonal skills as they will interact with colleagues from various departments and executive levels. They are required to listen to their technical needs, understand their problems, and implement solutions to them. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Install and configure hardware and software components to ensure usability.  
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.  
  • Repair or replace damaged hardware and software.  
  • Upgrade the entire system to enable compatible software on all computers.  
  • Perform tests and evaluations of new software and hardware.  
  • Provide support to users and act as the first point of contact for error reporting.  
  • Establish good relationships with all departments and colleagues.  
  • Manage technical documentation. 


REQUIREMENTS:  

  • 2+ years of experience in computer networks and systems maintenance.  
  • Proficient in Windows, Mac, IOS, and Android operating systems.  
  • Must have a car and valid driver’s license.  
  • Experience in hospitality specific hardware including POS terminals.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Good interpersonal skills.  
  • Proficient in database programming and software installation.  
  • Attention to detail.  
  • Good problem-solving skills.  
  • Ability to travel to multiple venues per day.   
  • Ability to work off hours and holidays.
