With Procore positioned to continue our incredible growth, the Sales Enablement team is the group tasked with enabling salespeople to sell more, faster, with greater ease. To achieve this aim, the team is involved in all aspects of sales training, onboarding, productivity, strategy, enablement, and performance improvement.

As an Instructional Designer for the Sales Enablement team, you will be responsible for designing and developing internal sales training material, including content, courses, and tools. For those passionate about creating engaging content across multiple mediums, this role is responsible for designing material for onboarding and ongoing training. The goal is to ensure consistently superb, enthusiastic and engaging training experiences for the sales team.

This position reports to the Manager of Sales Training and is based out of Procore HQ in Carpinteria, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform needs and task analyses, scope projects, and evaluate existing documentation to identify gaps and then recommends appropriate modalities to meet the learning needs
  • Responsible for the design and creation of comprehensive and dynamic training, courses, and content
    • LMS courses and modules based on critical sales learning strategies
    • Training and workshop material including presentation decks, workbooks, handouts, and more
    • Certifications to validate knowledge and understanding of the training material based on critical sales competencies
    • Quick reference material including user guides, how-to guides, job aids, and tip sheets
    • Interactive product and sales playbooks (on-demand and print)
  • Developing comprehensive training rollout and evaluation plans that incorporate adult education principles to deliver practical learning solutions with real world relevance.
  • Ability to ideate, design, develop, publish, manage and report within sales readiness tools and Learning Management Systems.
  • Working with internal groups including leadership, operations, product, and marketing to determine content creation needs
    • Define content, review, and approval workflow for training documentation
  • Report and analyze training initiatives to determine success, adoption, and competency of critical training theme
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of training activities in relation to business goals
  • Review and update existing instructional design, training, and graphic/media strategies in training course materials

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of related instructional design experience, preferably for a sales or client-facing organization
  • BA or BS degree in a relevant field such as instructional or educational technology
  • Be an adult learning expert who is creative, analytical, and customer-obsessed
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply adult learning theory
  • Clear, professional, and concise communications (written/verbal), presentation and facilitation skills
    • Must be able to use consultative approach and persuasive communication with stakeholders
  • Experience working with global teams/organizations in a matrixed environment.
  • Expert proficiency using sales training tools and learning management systems
    • MindTickle and Cornerstone experience a plus
  • Advanced proficiency with the following suites of tools
    • Instructional design tools – Articulate Storyline, Adobe eLearning Suite and Master Collection, Camtasia, Captivate, Photoshop, Illustrator, Macromedia Flash, and Premiere Pro, etc.
    • Advanced proficiency using Google Apps suite - Google Docs, Google Slides, and Google Sheets
    • Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Suite - Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, Publisher, and Excel
  • Ability to develop eLearning programs that are SCORM/AICC compliant
  • Change Management background or experience evolving a program to success via Change Management methodologies
