Cross Campus, LA’s most dynamic collaborative workspace and business event venue, is hiring a full-time Head of Events & Programming to help expand our events team and capabilities as we grow to new locations and markets.

From President Obama and Mayor Garcetti to NASA, Tesla and Facebook, we have hosted some the most prominent minds and companies of our era and have consistently impressed them with our unique spaces and unrivaled professionalism. The Head of Events & Programming will lead the other members of our events team to ensure that this caliber of events and experiences continues to be a driving force in our business and in our city.

Candidates for this role will be organized, proactive, and driven to exceed goals and expectations. The role will be based at Cross Campus HQ in Santa Monica, and will require travel to our locations in Pasadena and Downtown LA. The role will report to the COO.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for overall performance of events team, including:
— Financial: Exceeding sales targets through events, partnerships and sponsorships.
— Programming: Securing high quality, high profile event programming through outreach and partnership activities.
— Production: Ensure best-in-class event production & execution.
— Promotion: Leverage impact of events to grow brand, reach and membership.
— Management: Lead and manage events team, including Event Sales Coordinator, Event Production Manager, and over a dozen Event Associates

Drive performance through expansion of capabilities, offerings and partnerships, including:
— Expand and leverage food, beverage and catering to improve size and profitability of events.
— Develop new event-related services, including planning, production and recording of events.
— Secure key partnerships and sponsorships for events, venues, and company-wide.

Coordinate internally with Marketing, Membership, Digital Content and Operations to ensure maximum impact of events, including:
— Drive membership development opportunities.
— Expand brand and audience reach through digital content opportunities.
— Maximize member engagement while minimizing negative impact on member experience.
— Train and guide location staff to execute members-only events and develop local event relationships

QUALIFICATIONS

— 7+ years of relevant work experience, with the following being a plus: Event venue-side sales, Event agency sales, Sponsorship sales, Event planning and coordination (must have sales experience)
— Natural leader who’s able to quickly command respect of team, clients and partner
— Extremely organized with an ability to multi-task effectively
— Excellent written and verbal communication, including phone skills
— Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, GoogleApps and other major cloud-based apps
— Experience working with digital CRM and event management tools such as Salesforce or Reserve a plus
— Demonstrable success working in a fast-paced, fast-changing environment
