JOB SUMMARY

We’re looking for someone with a strong sense of motion and animation principles who is passionate about programmatic motion graphics—someone who is excited about pushing the limits of HTML5 animation and wants to work with Greensock Animation Platform (GSAP) every day. This person will quickly develop into an invaluable resource who is able to contribute ideas and visuals that are creative, surprising, and on-brand. Ideal candidates will have a strong motion graphics portfolio that includes impressive Greensock experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop insightful, aesthetically compelling, and functional motion concepts that support creative ideas toward the goal of solving client challenges.
• Concept and execute complex HTML5 animation in a combination of Greensock GSAP and other motion techniques in Hook’s pipeline.
• Act as a resource to Producers and Designers during project bidding and provide feasibility and effort estimates.
• Maintain and promote an internal awareness of industry design trends and standards with a strong focus on processes and tools.
• Be a collegial contributor to the motion department and its culture.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong proficiency in animation principles
• HTML5 / CSS / JS
• Bonus for SASS
• Greensock and general JS animation
• Experience with SVG editing and animation
• Bonus for basic Node.js experience
• Bonus for other motion abilities
• After Effects
• Adobe Animate
• Google Web Designer
• Cinema 4D or comparable
• Min 2 years of experience
• Strong appetite for learning emergent technologies in the HTML5 ecosystem.
