You Will
- Design, innovate, build, test, release and maintain software (yeah, we didn’t make this sound too exciting did we?, but this is the job. The excitement is in how we go about our work).
- Solve challenging technical problems at scale.
- Work on a fast growth, high traffic web site.
- Obsess over site speed, performance and exceptional user experience.
- Periodically provide after-hours support for Tradesy systems.
You Have
- 3+ years of experience in full cycle web application development (backend, frontend and platform integration along with dev, test, stage, production workflows).
- Deep expertise with PHP, Javascript, HTML and CSS.
- Adept at finding your way around the Linux command line.
- Ability to quickly grasp how components of software systems work together.
- Experience in agile development methodologies with continuous integration.
- Strong understanding of concepts related to computer architecture, data structures and standard programming practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
Bonus Points
- Experience with another language or two (we also use Python, Scala and Go for various systems).
- Experience in eCommerce.
- Experience with Redis.
- Experience with ElasticSearch.
- Experience with MySQL.
- Experience with AWS.
