OPPORTUNITY: FRONT END ENGINEER

We’re seeking a Front End Engineer who is able and willing to hit the ground running. The Front End Engineer will collaborate cross-departmentally to create web pages that fuse compelling design and current technologies.  Key to success in this role will be a strong curiosity and desire to ideate and explore new features to improve the site and experiences. 

Responsibilities

• Build features for dollarshaveclub.com.
• Create libraries and frameworks to support various systems at DSC
• Test and optimize models, frameworks, and services that power DSC frontend applications
• Knowledge of the frontend package management, framework, and microlibrary landscape a huge plus
• Easily convert mockups, prototypes, and user stories into production ready code
• Partner with Creative, Member Services and Back-end teams to bridge between UI/graphic design and technical implementation

REQUIREMENTS

• Education: BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field preferred
• Experience: 2-3 years experience with one of these front-end JavaScript frameworks: Ember, Angular, React, Backbone
• Self-motivated, results driven, engineer who is passionate about collaboration as well as working solo.
• Understanding of JavaScript task runners and build pipelines such as Gulp, Grunt, or Broccoli
• Deep knowledge of CSS extension languages such as SASS, Less, etc.
• Experience with CSS grid frameworks such as Susy or Bourbon Neat
• Able to write modules for both node.js and browser environments, and can easily context switch between the two
• Must have written your own JavaScript package manager that rivals all others
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
