Email Marketing Specialist
The growing marketing team at Brighter is looking for an enthusiastic marketer to lead our email program! You’ll work on email strategy, write and design campaigns, manage our subscriber list, and measure the results of our campaigns. You’ll be expected to help us target subscribers with relevant and creative content, integrate campaigns with inbound and outbound sales strategies, create marketing automation series, improve our campaigns with every send, and, most importantly, help us increase sales.
The right candidate has experience sending marketing campaigns through an email service provider. They know about B2B email marketing best practices and spam laws. They’re a multitasker who loves the creative side as well as the analytics of email.
You’ll report to the Director of Marketing and work cross-functionally with Sales, Product Development and Client Services.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Produce and deploy email marketing campaigns to the Brighter database, including the curation of content, translation of marketing assets, coding, and implementation/deployment of online and offline marketing campaigns designed to increase sales.
- Provide analysis and reporting for Brighter marketing campaigns to determine overall effectiveness, including return on investment analysis.
- Work with the Director of Marketing to employ segmentation strategies and analytics to guide marketing plans, including thinking critically through list logic and campaign structure.
- Communicate upcoming marketing campaigns and results to the inbound/outbound sales team as needed.
- Assist in outbound/inbound marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas (content development and optimization, social media, direct mail, advertising, events planning etc.)
ABOUT YOU:
- Minimum 3 years of successful experience in an email marketing role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in writing email copy
- Experience with marketing data analytics and tools such as Tableau
- Experience with email service providers such as ExactTarget or SendGrid
- Proficiency in HTML, MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple projects and priorities with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to frequent changes and ability to react quickly
- Impeccable attention to detail.
- Tech start-up experience a plus!
- BA or BS in business or marketing or related field is preferred
